British Military Music Archive

BMMA aspires to be the reference when it comes to digital archives for UK military band recordings both past and present, with more historic music being sourced throughout 2015.

Overview

Founded by Simon Vandeleur, the collection of recordings from BMMA started in 2014 with a vinyl of the band of the Coldstream Guards, one of the first UK bands to ever make a recording.

With the contribution of Tim Hollier, Vandeleur was introduced to the Metropolis Studios, an internationally renowned mastering studio that worked with him in retrieving recordings made during World War I and II.

BMMA aspires to be the leading - if not the only - digital archive for UK military band recordings both past and present, with more historic music being sourced throughout 2015, defining itself as one of the largest archives of British Military Music lovingly restored from 78 rpm records.

BMMA aspires to be the leading - if not the only - digital archive for UK military band recordings.
